Report :

May has brought lots of moisture again to our area, mix or rain and winds have made for challenging conditions but we have been landing good numbers of Browns still and the Mackinaw bite continues to be electric.

Browns are averaging 3-6 pounds but we have had several larger landed so far, I feel we will have another good push of large fish soon once the weather stabilizes. The clear high pressure to cloudy low pressure changes every few day seem to have the Browns a little inconsistent. Rapala Shadow raps the new release for 2016 have been our go to baits off the downriggers 30 to 50 ft down around bait schools!

Macks have been hot on school size fish but we have many double digit fish of late! We have been going for action early trolling with fish running 3 to 6 lbs coming fast first couple hours , then we have either moved for Browns or sized up for bigger fish! Running Rapala mag Xraps off riggers in the schools have been a hot ticket, natural patterns are best but also wild colors some days.
